Treatment information
Common problems that can be treated with sports massage therapy: • Muscle tension and stiffness • Neck, shoulder and back pain • Aches and pains from exercise and ongoing activity • Stress and anxiety symptoms • Postural issues • Headaches Sports massage will benefit anyone with chronic pain, sports injury, or range-of-motion issues. Many people who are health conscious and want to avoid the build up of muscle tension as result of ongoing exercise will also benefit from regular sports massage therapy treatment. This will enable them to feel more mobile and energised from the improvement of the blood flow to the muscles. Your first appointment prior to treatment will consist of an initial assessment, which will involve a quick discussion about your health background, your lifestyle, and where any pain points are located. This will help us understand how to treat you best and that you get the most out of your treatment. A sports massage is different from a regular massage, as the treatment tends to focus on a particular area, with the use of manipulation to release any tension felt in the muscle group. Not sure if sports massage is right for you? Give us a call on 01442 959132 and we can answer any queries you have.
