Sports therapy is a healthcare concerning the prevention of injury and rehabilitation of the patient back to the prime levels of functional and occupational fitness level.
Deploying the fundamentals of sport and exercise sciences, as well as utilising the physiological and pathological processes to prepare the participant for training, competing and work.
Sports therapy isn't just for athletes, if you do any exercise at all to keep fit, whether that's going for a jog or playing football on a casual level with some friends, you will feel the benefits from sports therapy.
Even if you're not doing any regular sport or exercise, the everyday movements we make can still put stress on our body and over time can lead to long term issues. For example, spending long hours sitting at a desk every day can cause stiffness to the neck and shoulders. If left untreated it can become a serious problem.
Sports massage and the right therapy can help ease the strain and stress on your body that can occur from everyday life.
Here at AS Sports Therapy we are committed to providing the highest standard of treatment and care regardless of your age and ability. If you want to to see how you can benefit then please get in contact today.
